Accepted Answer

Eco-Sensitive Zones are not declared under the Wildlife (Protection) Act, 1972, but rather under the Environment (Protection) Act, 1986. The purpose of declaring Eco-Sensitive Zones is not to prohibit all human activities except agriculture. Instead, the activities that are prohibited or regulated are specific to each zone and are notified separately.
